As a planner you never want to make your client feel like they are spending more than necessary. Having an outline or selling strategy behind any value-add benefits will aid you in effectively communicating the value to clients.

For all those mothers, pet-moms, boss-moms, mother-of-all-things and mother figures, this is to celebrate YOU! From the whole team at ORO, we wish you a Happy Mother’s Day Weekend!
While you may have a strong grip on your working style, learning to adapt to each client (professionally or personally) will benefit the relationship. Everyone needs something different, whether that be the nitty gritty details or the big-picture; identify what that is and use it to your advantage!
True authenticity, regardless if it is different will shine through and be noticed. If you have a vision, do not be afraid of what you are doing to get there.
Planners are anticipating corporate events to make a big comeback. While some workers are turning down five days a week in the office, conferences and meetings give people the chance to get a taste of ‘normal’ corporate life again without committing to the office Monday through Friday. In order to keep up throughout the last year and a half, corporate planners have had to get creative with events and will continue to do so as they recruit attendees post-pandemic and numbers even out again.
These exciting times are also bringing new challenges for both the wedding industry and engaged couples to navigate. Wedding planning during COVID-19 reopenings most likely means encountering an industry with limited availability: many venues and vendors are experiencing shortages as they try to accommodate the surplus of couples who the pandemic has denied the wedding of their dreams.
In this guest column, Katherine Frost of planning management software ORO shares insights for overcoming challenges brought on by the hospitality labor shortage.
